Effect of educational training program about polarity management on Nurse Managers' knowledge and Skills

Background: Most leadership problems involve more complexity than that, where the outcome isn’t predictable, and frequently require the ongoing management of tension between two or seemingly opposite but nevertheless interdependent values. The leaders should recognize polarities value that each pole brings their solutions. Aim: The present study aimed to assess effect educational training program on nurse managers' knowledge about polarity at Assuit University Hospital. Subject and methods: A quasi-experimental research design was used conduct this study. A convenience sampling technique select a group (50) nurse managers. Two tools were throughout phases. Tool (I): classified into three parts; personal data sheet, Knowledge questionnaire management, map application test. (II) : Evaluation education (opinionnaire sheet) . Results: The majority managers had lacking in polarity management also poor skills before training. There a significant improvement all items total score managers' and skills after implementation before. Conclusion: Training highly effective improving managers' knowledge management. Recommendations: Polarity management awareness be included orientation programs for newly appointed managers, involved performance appraisal nursing managers, curriculum nursing administration course faculties in Egypt add topics
